For Sholom Rosenbloom, pest control is more than a profession. It is a family tradition spanning four generations and a career dedicated to helping people live better.
Sholom has worked in the pest control industry for more than 40 years. He started riding along on service calls with his father at eight years old, and today he leads the team at Rosenbloom Pest Control in Baltimore.
The lessons Sholom learned early in life continue to shape his approach today. He describes it as “taking the fight to the enemy”: finding and treating the source of a pest problem rather than simply treating the pests a customer happens to see.
For Sholom, effective pest control is both an art and a science. It requires understanding pest behavior, buildings, and environmental conditions, along with the experience to recognize patterns and know when a problem requires a different approach.
That philosophy is particularly valuable in Baltimore, where older homes, rowhouses, multi-unit properties, restaurants, and commercial buildings can present complicated pest and rodent challenges. Rosenbloom Pest Control has become especially known for its expertise in rodent control and its high level of customer service.
Find where the pests are coming from. Understand the conditions that let them stay. Then fix the problem at its source.
Sholom pairs four decades of hands-on fieldwork with formal training and a long-standing commitment to the professional pest management community.
Certified by the Maryland Department of Agriculture for more than three decades.
A degree in Accounting and a bachelor’s degree in Talmudic Law.
Longtime member of the National Pest Management Association and the Maryland Pest Control Association.
Despite more than four decades in the industry, Sholom believes there is always more to learn, and more to teach. As Service Manager, he focuses heavily on developing the Rosenbloom team. Technical knowledge is important, but his goal goes beyond creating better technicians: he wants the people around him to become more skilled, more confident, more capable, and happier in both their careers and their lives.
Sholom believes a leader’s job isn’t simply to get the best out of people; it’s to help people become their best. That commitment extends beyond Rosenbloom Pest Control. For many years he has mentored professionals and emerging leaders throughout the pest management industry, encouraging others to pursue excellence, keep learning, and pass their own knowledge forward.
That simple principle sits at the center of Sholom’s personal philosophy, and it guides how he approaches business, family, leadership, and community.
Whether developing an employee, mentoring someone in the industry, strengthening family relationships, or serving his community, Sholom follows the same principle: build up the people around you and give more than you take.
Baltimore isn’t simply Rosenbloom Pest Control’s service area. It is where Sholom and his family chose to build their business, continue their family tradition, and establish lasting relationships within the community.
More than 40 years after entering the industry, and four generations after his family first entered the profession, Sholom remains guided by the principles that have shaped his career: find the source, solve the problem the right way, build up the people around you, and give more than you take.
Same-day and next-day service, backed by four generations of Baltimore pest control experience.
